Marc Brown has been writing and illustrating the lovable aardvark since 1976. Born in Erie, Pennsylvania, Brown was inspired to be an illustrator by his grandma Thora who always told him stories and encouraged making them. Currently, the three-time Emmy award winner is constantly writing and illustrating more stories and characters.
